Concerning to your question: I´m from Germany. Sanni is a nickname/short cut of Sandra in Northern Germany. We used to spent our holidays on the island Fehmarn when I was a little one... and everybody called me Sanni. The name remained after the holidays - even my parents "adopted" it, except when I got into mischief. Today I still wince when somebody calls me Sandra: "Uhhh, what have I done wrong???" =)
