While I was putting away the clean laundry I overhead the following exchange coming from my bedroom:Will Turner: Look everyone I baked you some cookies!
Jack Sparrow: Pirates don't like cookies. We like creme brulee.

That's hysterical! It reminds me too of when my sister and I were little. My mother was making quiche and my sister announced that she wasn't going to eat it. My response to her? "YOU are not a gourmet. *I* am a gourmet. I am going to try it first and then ask for soup!"
ReplyDeleteI always suspected as much.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Cute! I love "eavesdropping" on little ones as they play...always entertaining!
ReplyDeleteThat's one sophisticated pirate you got there! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI always knew pirates were more cultured than we gave them credit for.
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious!
ReplyDeleteBut your blog is making me hungry...
Classic. We've just hit the age here where everything has a voice. Except Zaya narrates. It's "I want some cookies", said the Lion puppet.
ReplyDeleteWell gosh, that's not surprising! Can't you tell in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies how refined Jack Sparrow's taste is? (He's just confirming it here.)
ReplyDeletehee hee hee...
So can I safely assume that it is Jack who is holding the green parasol? He's such a dandy, that Jack.
ReplyDeletehehe I totally adore listening to the imagination going wild!
ReplyDeleteAh, I must be a pirate then, as I, too, love me some creme brulee.
ReplyDeleteThis post is hilarious. Thanks for the smile.
haha! very classy pirates.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have sophisticated Pirates out in Alask...
ReplyDeleteHigh class pirates you've got there!
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious!
ReplyDeleteAh, pirates first class all the way! (And those are some kids of yours to even know what creme brulee is!)
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha!
ReplyDeletehilarious! i too prefer creme brueee ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny. Recently, Cedar chose a book called "Captain and Matey" at the library. Matey wants to to grow a big garden and use jewels to make crowns. Captain believes that all pirates need to know how to dance. I bet they'd like creme broulee too.
ReplyDeleteWow. Such big words. I am impressed. I love the way kids play. It makes my heart smile.
ReplyDeleteThey probably like fishy flakes too!
ReplyDeleteI always thought Jack Sparrow had that sensitive, dessert side! ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, creme brulee is good...
ReplyDeleteHmmm...some high-class pirates live in your house, huh?
ReplyDeleteOh geez - does he like quiche too?
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! The things kids say. :)
ReplyDeleteROFL!!! And I totally agree with pirates too. ;)
ReplyDeleteNow the questions is was that Andrew or Lilly that was doing the voices. My money is on Andrew.
ReplyDeleteI love that! The power of mummy in pirates' lives!
ReplyDeleteHilarious. I think you've been up too late cleaning...!! :)
