Are You a Genius?

I can't tell you how much time Andrew and I wasted on this game tonight thanks to Laurie. He wouldn' t give up until he got to 18 seconds, but he stayed at it long enough to compose his own theme music for the task. He's got a gift, what can I say?

It says if you can make it to 18 seconds you're a genius, what does it say about you if you spend two hours playing it?

What was your time?? I made it to 7.4 something and then made myself quit...why did you have to let me know about this on a night when I can't sleep?? :)

  2. I got to 19.7 seconds on my 4th try! 14 on the first. I will have to test Joshua on this one he would probably go for 2 hours if it took that long to get to 18 also though.

I say you're a genius if you can understand the instruction "click onto the red block with jump over it". Am I reading it too late at night, or is that not comprehensible?

  4. Yup, instructions were obviously written by someone with English as a second language. You have to click and drag the red block and avoid touching the blue blocks as they zoom around you and avoid touching the black walls.

Oh my goodness! I found this someplace too and I am terrible!!! What I read is that they test fighter pilots with this. I actually am a pilot, however I guess I would make a TERRIBLE fighter pilot!

  6. Now why did you go and do that? You know I'll be up until the we hours trying to beat the time. I better make sure I have a lot of coffee on hand for tomorrow.

I couldn't even understand the directions! LOL!

  8. OMG, that is addicting. I'm finding it to be harder with this laptop pad thingy than a mouse, though. I need to boot Hubby off the PC so I can use the mouse! Thanks for the link, this is fun. (and yeah, the instructions are less than clear)

44.5 seconds on the third try. Tell Andrew to chalk one up for the engineers and $400 Dell desk tops.

  11. 24.55 my best time ever, but I've played before, normally I'm in the 12-15 second range.

FYI, if you move up to the top left corner after the larger bar moves away, you can let go of the mouse buttons and still get 11.9 seconds.

  12. That is freaking addicting!

My husband will have a field day with this one.

  13. I would say that anyone saying they got over 30 seconds should put a screenshot on their blog. Just hit print screen, paste to MS Paint, save as JPG or BMP, and upload. Vidcaps are better.

BTW I got .3 seconds on my first try.

  14. Well, I'm no genius. My best was 6.5 seconds. In my defense though, I only played for 2 minutes and all I have for a mouse is my trackpad on my laptop.

  15. No genius here this morning, but I know I will play with it again later. My husband will be compelled to reach genius level AT ALL COSTS. =]

I'll have to see what the kids can do.

  16. I haven't even clicked on the link yet, but I know this is going to suck up my whole afternoon.

    Thanks a LOT!!

  17. I got to 13 seconds, but I quit after about 2 minutes. Stupid job wanting work out of me.

Thanks for the tip, odat_kim! I guess being a "genius" is less about playing the game and more about figuring out the patterns!

    Cool game!

  19. LOL - what fun- I would say you have a great reaction time, not that you are a genius..do they go together?

  21. 21.297! Those blocks really start to fly, don't they?! It's very addictive!

  22. I made it to 13.675 on my fifth try! Thanks for helping me waste my last 30 minutes at work! :).

  23. Yes that makes a lot of sense. The military trains their pilots and then vets them through a flash applet. I think the genius is the person that sees that and chooses NOT to play. Yeah, I'm kind of a dick today.

  24. Ohhh.
I would be killed if I pick up yet another nasty internet habbit...

  25. I think its safe to say that we all have our moments of being a genius...and we probably all have our moments of being...less than genius.

  26. I don't need a GAME to tell me I'm a genius ;) ;)

  27. Oh, I like that comment by misc-mum. But getting a 28. something on try #1 really doesn't hurt the ego!!

After losing way too much of my life on the Monty Python Spamalot game, I only allowed myself to try it three times and the best I did was 5 seconds. Clearly, I am no genius.

  29. hahaha - the answer is no!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Sorry about that. Don't let him try Planarity!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I got to 23.42 seconds on my 3rd try...

    ReplyDelete
  32. ah! I didn't get that you could click and drag it! *goes back to try again*

I wonder what this means on my genious rating...
