Your strawberry ice cream was great! It set much easier than the other one (as in: it did set in the ice cream maker, after half an hour). After it set, we did leave the ice cream outside to get it nicely frozen. Good thing it's winter now. And it was a hit with both the kids and the adults. Which reminds me, I should go grab a bit right now for a dessert :) Thanks!Dana+Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15970890243159750712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14194867.post-41404897982720888622008-08-14T06:50:00.000-08:002008-08-14T06:50:00.000-08:00Ok, I'm going to ask the silly question. (i ended up with vanilla ice cream and that crappy strawberry sauce with non-fresh strawberry chunks. yuck.) but this post looks just like my cone would have looked had they still served my favorite. so thanks!Christie O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16119774914469200174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14194867.post-58669269563311243532008-08-11T03:41:00.000-08:002008-08-11T03:41:00.000-08:00I always see lots of recipes for homemade ice crea...I always see lots of recipes for homemade ice cream and they all look so good! Same brand as yours I think, but truthfully, we used it maybe 2-3 times. It's the freezing of the drum ahead of time and the price of all the ingredients that stop us. Then we moved here and it just never got unpacked. I might have to give it another try though.Terhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08427090425449970893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14194867.post-23221859508026236662008-08-10T16:34:00.000-08:002008-08-10T16:34:00.000-08:00Making homemade ice cream was such a memorable par...Making homemade ice cream was such a memorable part of my childhood--and though today's machines are so much easier to operate, I miss the sight and sounds of a vintage hand-cranked maker.
