Apparently, that was the wrong thing to say to him on this quirky Sunday afternoon. He's still going around the house using a strange accent (meant to be Dutch, I think) and saying things like, "How-da cheese? How-do milk? How-da eggs? How-da dairy business dese days? How-da doing?" Oh boy. Maybe we'll just stay in our ignorance and keep it as "goo-da". =)Inklinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02775312085301951675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14194867.post-32231231566958654612008-12-07T12:28:00.000-09:002008-12-07T12:28:00.000-09:00I sampled some wonderful gouda the other day, but ...I sampled some wonderful gouda the other day, but didn't buy it because I didn't know what to do with it. Or it's produced like the English velar plosive/stop 'g,' only you don't close off the air passage completely.

The 'h' in English is a voiceless glottal approximate, which means it's produced much lower in the throat (technically in the vocal chords).

So technically it's more like the 'g,' only (to English speakers) "lazier." :DJordan McCollumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16523599384793856702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14194867.post-38828388345337939992008-12-07T06:31:00.000-09:002008-12-07T06:31:00.000-09:00Oh that looks soo good!
