Anyone else out there have a hard time throwing out useful tin boxes? They're so tiny and cute and versatile that I have a hard time ever getting rid of them--remember that Christmas gift idea I posted about making them into little paint boxes?Well Tic Tac Toe in a Box is yours with just a little bit of white Contact paper and some buttons backed with magnets--you could also easily adjust the idea to be a bingo game if you used tiny pictures under clear Contact paper.

ReplyDeleteI never throw tins away...or plastic tubs, strawberry baskets, glass jars, coffee cans, paper towel tubes, cardboard boxes...it's a sickness really. Everyone else thinks I'm nuts, until they happen to need a container and voila! Container pack rat to the rescue!

ReplyDeleteThat is a BRILLIANT idea, although I bet it involves a glue gun, getting the button onto the magnet.
ReplyDeleteActually, I used the sticky-backed magnetic strips you can cut to fit though that's only because I was out of the other kind. The best way to do it is to get some plain round magnets in the craft section of Walmart and then use some kind of cement or super glue to glue them--that'll hold the best. I wouldn't mess with the hot glue at all.
