Summer Vacation Idea #4: Nature Bracelets. Not only is this a good activity for kids at home it can be a fun thing to do on a camping trip or during a nature hike.
Take a long piece of masking tape and wrap it sticky side out around your wrist, overlapping the ends to stick them together.
Now create your own bracelet by sticking leaves, moss, pine cones, twigs, berries, mushrooms, seeds or flowers to the tape until the bracelet is covered and decorated as beautifully as you wish.
You could even use brightly colored masking tape for an extra fashion touch.
Check in with Rocks in My Dryer every Wednesday for other good tips.

What a fun idea! My girls would love this!! You rock!!
Very, very cool.
Ooh, I love that!
... and again, another great idea. Love it. Can't wait to show my Emma.
Love, love, love this idea!
Cool idea! I'll stash some masking tape in our camping bin so the kids can do that next time out!
Those look lovely! Don't forget to lay another stip of tape over the top when you are finished to make your bracelet last a little longer without picking up extra dirt.
We used to take white clover flower flowers, tie them end to end and make necklaces, crowns, bracelets and rings out of them. That was really fun and pretty as well.
What a great idea! We are going camping soon, so now I just need to remember to pack some tape. :)
You always have really good ideas! I copied this one and saved it for when my kids are bigger.
#2 did this at camp today. They did anklets, though.
Love this!
That's a great idea and right up may alley!

Good idea but it doesn't follow the Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics that state "Leave what you find". www.lnt.org
