Handmade Pretties Saturday Giveaway

Hair Pretty from Handmade PrettiesToday's giveaway is a double giveaway with two prizes for our lucky contestant.

First, I'd like to introduce you to Handmade Pretties, a sweet little shop that specializes in soft and supple felts in gorgeous colors of every hue. Lara Newsome makes hair clips, pin cushions, hats, jewelry, toys, balls, puppets and coasters--if it can be sculpted from felt, she's got it.

Hair Pretty by Handmade PrettiesMy favorite creations are her Hair Pretties, the perfectly cheerful little clips that come in two sizes and all the colors of the rainbow. And to prove how creative they are, the larger clips are designed to stay put in even baby-fine hair with a tiny patch of loop-sided Velcro underneath to keep them in place--what a fabulous idea!

Pincushion by Handmade PrettiesAll Hair Pretties have free shipping but you should also check out her darling pin cushions and critter hats which are also favorites and perfect for the upcoming holiday season as stocking stuffers.

Handmade Pretties has offered a selection of Hair Pretties for this week's giveaway, two mini clips and four original-sized clips, six in all in a variety of colors and patterns but all guaranteed to look terrific clipped into pretty little locks of hair. The clip pictured in the upper left corner is among the collection and is called "Autumn."

Great Expectations Baby's First Year by Sandy and Marcie JonesBut wait, there's more! I've also got a copy of a new child development book by Sandy and Marcie Jones: Great Expectations: Baby's First Year an all-in-one resource for pregnancy, birth and parenting. How do you treat baby skin problems? What should you look for in a car seat, baby exercise saucer or swing? What are some of the symptoms of ear infection? How do you bathe a newborn infant? How can you find out if there is a recall on any baby products you may have? These are some a few of the questions addressed in this 646-page guide.

There's a monthly timetable of your child's emotional and physical development, survival tips for new parents and techniques for soothing your baby. Basic first aid, accident prevention, useful websites, reviews on baby gear, even a parenting dictionary--this book's got it all. I had two copies sent to me for review and was impressed with it enough to send one to my sister who's expecting her first baby any day now (Hi Melissa! Any news?).

So hair clips and the Parenting Bible--two great prizes for one lucky winner. Good luck!

Here's how to win:

Before 12 am Monday go to the giveaway entry form on this page and enter your name and email. I will pick one of the names at random, contact the winner via their email and publish the winner's first name and home town in next Tuesday's post. See the bottom of the entry form for more details.

This giveaway is open to anyone and everyone. Good luck!
