Reminds me of the "cliff" that our home was on the top of in CO. We would sled down it over the big pieces of shale and the sage bushes that stuck up through the snow. If you steered the wrong way, you ran into some farm implements at the bottom.
Sage doesn't taste very good, btw, but it tastes a lot better than rusty steel.
Oh, and yes, we had/have good parents. They didn't realize what we were doing. (he he)
Now see, I must be a bad mother because while other people's first thought was worrying about kids getting hurt, my first thought was , "Cool! I wish we had more steps on our deck!"
Fun idea! My kids were using there sled to slide down our slide!
I know the dangers of fences and sledding...after our first "real snow" last yr I took the kids to the park...this was maybe their first experience sledding...and it turned bad awful quick.
There was a chain link fence at the bottom of the hill - but I figured if my dd started heading that way, I'd just stop her.
Well the sled went too fast for me to catch her and yes she ploughed into the fence. Knocked the wind out of her. Scared us both half to death. Thankfully no lasting injuries...she was pretty shaken up. For about a week after she complained of pain in her back. She recovered fully - but I sure won't make that mistake again. And actually about 10 min after the incident - she was happily sledding.

Love this! I would have totally done this when i was young - I wouldn't try this as an adult - or would i?
Yet more proof there's a God.
I often say it's simply a miracle that any of us lives to adulthood.
That does look fun though.
Now THAT is funny!
