They Don't Call Them "Dreads" for Nothing

Jack Sparrow at Disney WorldYou know I had another post lined up for today, one that was terribly sophisticated and oh-so-elegant but then I happened to snap this picture yesterday during our day at Disney World and artsy-fartsy went out the window. Presenting: my husband.

Yes, in case you've ever wondered what would happen if you crossed a lawyer and a pirate (and there are some that would argue they're the same species I'm sure) here's a visual representation. It may be the only place where you'll see dreadlocks with an oxford.

Fifteen years and he can still make me chuckle.

I Love it--sorta Captain Andrew Sparrow...ish. Hope you're having a grand time. Soak up some rays for me, too.

That hat really gives him a new look! Were you tempted to buy the hat so he could wear it around the house for you? Kind of exciting!

Whoa. I think we might be living a parallel life? I too have a lawyer-husband, married almost 14 years, and mine has been known to dress up as a pirate once or twice before. Enjoy your life!

So that's what a pirate lawyer looks like? I never thought I would find out...

Love the picture! Hope you all are having a wonderful time!

My dad got his motorcycle license for his 60th birthday. I wanted to get him something unusual, but he is hard to buy for. I bought him Willie Nelson's latest album (he loves Willie) which was a Reggae album. My hubby suggested we get him a dreadlock wig to go with it. It was hilarious!!!! And the talk of the party!

This picture is hilarious. I'm glad you went for timely. Also, I hope he brings home the hair/hat combo to use in place of a "sophisticated" judge wig sometime on a serious case. I hope you keep having a wonderful time!

PS There's a little accolade for you over at my place today.

Hmmm. The whole Alaskan/Rastafarian/Lawyer thing is probably not going to catch on as a nationwide trend, but it's worth a try.

very lovely! or .. manly .. or something. I had a guy friend who once wore a faux mullet to class. As he walked in we realized his hair was just like one of the women in class. Oops.
