You know I had another post lined up for today, one that was terribly sophisticated and oh-so-elegant but then I happened to snap this picture yesterday during our day at Disney World and artsy-fartsy went out the window. Presenting: my husband.
Yes, in case you've ever wondered what would happen if you crossed a lawyer and a pirate (and there are some that would argue they're the same species I'm sure) here's a visual representation. It may be the only place where you'll see dreadlocks with an oxford.
Fifteen years and he can still make me chuckle.

I Love it--sorta Captain Andrew Sparrow...ish. Hope you're having a grand time. Soak up some rays for me, too.
I just love the look of how pleased he is with himself! ha ha. Miss you guys!
Oh boy. Maybe too much sun? No, just kidding. He looks like he's having a great time. I hope you're having fun too.
Niiiice. I love it when responsible, grown men can still have fun like a kid.
i was tempted to get dreads when my hair was longer but i didnt wanna end up shaving my head bald when i got tired of them.
That hat really gives him a new look! Were you tempted to buy the hat so he could wear it around the house for you? Kind of exciting!
Whoa. I think we might be living a parallel life? I too have a lawyer-husband, married almost 14 years, and mine has been known to dress up as a pirate once or twice before. Enjoy your life!
So that's what a pirate lawyer looks like? I never thought I would find out...
LOL! Too cute! That is awesome. I could hear the love in your post!
Love the picture! Hope you all are having a wonderful time!
My dad got his motorcycle license for his 60th birthday. I wanted to get him something unusual, but he is hard to buy for. I bought him Willie Nelson's latest album (he loves Willie) which was a Reggae album. My hubby suggested we get him a dreadlock wig to go with it. It was hilarious!!!! And the talk of the party!
This picture is hilarious. I'm glad you went for timely. Also, I hope he brings home the hair/hat combo to use in place of a "sophisticated" judge wig sometime on a serious case. I hope you keep having a wonderful time!
PS There's a little accolade for you over at my place today.
Sexay.
Hmmm. The whole Alaskan/Rastafarian/Lawyer thing is probably not going to catch on as a nationwide trend, but it's worth a try.
That's hysterical!
You know, most guys could not pull that whole thing off, but he rather does....
That has to be the happiest pirate; preppiest too.
Very funny!
That would look so adorable in court..:)
Hope you're having a great time! ;)
Too funny! Thanks for sharing so that those of us slaving away at real life can live vicariously through you :)
That is hillarious!! Have fun in Florida. As if that needs to be said. Of course you will!
That picture is outrageous -- outrageously cute, that is!
Very funny. I'm glad you're having such a good time.
Gotta love dads!
have a great time!
That is one rockin' 'do.
very lovely! or .. manly .. or something. I had a guy friend who once wore a faux mullet to class. As he walked in we realized his hair was just like one of the women in class. Oops.
Arrrrr!
LOL, Captain Jack looks like he is having a blast!
