Carol's Daughter Giveaway

Carol's Daughter Hair SmoothieYou may have heard of these products--seems they're popping up all over the place lately and are rather the "it" items with hair and skin care.

Carol's Daughter was started by Lisa Price twenty years ago as a home-based business where she cooked up all sorts of products to sell at local flea markets. Things grew enough to open a Brooklyn store that caught the eye of celebrities, finally landing Lisa a spot on Oprah and a stay in the Lincoln Bedroom (okay I made that last part up).

The selling point is that the products are "all natural" and don't contain the heavy petroleum or mineral oils that can weigh hair down. Most items in the Carol's Daughter line are targeted toward hair that is particularly curly and coarse. In fact today's giveaway product, the new Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie, is made as "an intense conditioning treatment for normal to dry hair made from a super-rich emulsion of shea butter, cocoa butter, and jojoba oil. Calming chamomile aids in taming of frizzy, unmanageable hair."

Though I haven't tried this myself, I peeked around at various reviews of Carol's Daughter's products and while a few reviews complained that the items were overpriced most seemed to say that if you've got issues with friz then the hair smoothie is a great product that isn't too heavy but does a good job in deep conditioning and hair repair--something that tends to hit hard in the winter time with all the dry rough weather.

So if you'd like to try this out for yourself please follow the directions below and we'll see if your number comes up. Vanilla is always a fun flavor!

Here's how to win:

Before 12 am Monday morning go to the giveaway entry form on this page and enter your name and email. I will pick one of the names at random, contact the winner via their email and publish the winner's first name and home town in next Tuesday's post. See the bottom of the entry form for more details.

This giveaway is open to all readers so good luck!
