A View from the Kitchen

Funny how things can change so quickly. It used to be green and now it's white. I forget what it looks like covered in snow and then once it snows I forget what it looks like when it was green.

We're dusting off our skis for the weekend.

Congratulations to Keriane from Anchorage, Alaska for winning the Veggie Tales and Campbell Soup Giveaway from this weekend. Woot!

Sponsored by Beau-Coup for unique baby shower favors.

Beautiful! I am more than ready for the snow to get here. It just sets the mood for the holidays and I love it!

I think it's funny that Denver got it's first snow before Anchorage did. You'll probably get more for the season than we will, but ours came first.

It finally snowed! The white flowers are beautiful. All the flowers I know of in Illinois are gone but no snow and I hope it is a month away. It looks beautiful up there like only SNOW can. J

Not just snow, is that temperature correct? 20 degrees out there? That hurts.

Sounds like a metaphor for life.

I know you just wanted to share pictures of the snow, but I think what you described can be true of so many things. "I'm sick. I can't ever remember NOT being sick." "This job is awesome. Life is awesome. Life is always awesome!"

We humans are unbalanced creatures.

(But yes, the snow is pretty. Do you think it's permanent now?)

It is beautiful, but cold. I'm trying to decide if I am happy for winter or not. I'm going to have to go with happy. =)

It was certainly interesting for me to read this blog. Thanx for it. I like such themes and anything connected to them. I definitely want to read more soon.

Beautifyl picture. I love the snow, especially when it is at someone elses house. We are not set up for snow in the Puget Sound Area and become trapped at home easily which is fine for about 2 days. :-) Last year we had a hard winter and it unnerves me to have my family out in cars on slippery hills!

I love the flowers with the snow as a backdrop. But I am not ready for the snow. So I'm glad someone else has it for now.

So when WAS your first day of snow? Didn't you have a contest about that? I just don't remember hearing when it did finally snow for the first time...

How funny to see snow when it's 70 degrees here. I guess that's the difference between Arizona and Alaska. ;)
