Reindeer Antler Hat

The Winter BazaarReindeer Antler HatMore holiday ideas! Each Wednesday more tips and suggestions, recipes and activities to help make December a great month. Let's see what's up this week . . .

***

I hope you can see this from the picture, that's Spencer when he was just a little guy and that's a headband that has reindeer antlers made from felt hands reinforced with pipe cleaners.

Trace two copies of each hand in felt, then glue the two pieces of each hand together with pipe cleaners running along inside the fingers to make them poseable. Glue a couple red pompoms or some jingle bells at the base so you can hear them coming and you've got the cutest little reindeer around.

That's adorable! I saw a shirt with the a reindeer using foot and hand prints. The foot is the head, and the hands are the antlers. It was very cute.

I had to give a little comic relief today in my post!

That is cute! Our son's preschool teacher did reindeer antlers using the kids' handprints too, but she made placemats. We loved it too.

Though I'm not normally super-crafty, I always admire people who are -- and I even managed to come up with something good to add here. Thanks for all the great ideas!

Also, I'm a blogging neophyte, and I don't know how to get that cool Winter Bazaar logo you have onto my post in order to link back to you. So I just made a manual link to the post with the Scribbit name as the link. But the logo is so much prettier. Can you tell me how to do this? Thanks, and sorry to be a pest asking a question everyone else seems to know the answer to!

I did this one year with my kids and they were still wearing tattered antlers around the house in February.
