2. The Star Wars trilogy--or at least Episodes 4, 5, & 6 as my little Jedis call them--the best is The Empire Strikes Back, though the beginning of Return of the Jedi makes it a strong contender.

1. The Lord of the Rings trilogy and yes, I'm counting this too as one movie. The best is definitely The Two Towers followed by The Fellowship of the Ring.
