You know I'm all for the Republic, apple pie and the democratic way of life but surely this has crossed the decency line.
Someone gave this out as Halloween candy to one of my kids (who aren't old enough to vote mind you).
What next? "Vote for Pedro" on Easter eggs? Next thing you know Santa will be leaving yard signs for his favorite candidate and stuffing the stockings with "Rudolph for Governor" buttons.

I hear ya!
We have a woman in our neighborhood who doesn't even bother with the candy. She simply hands out bible verses to the kids about the evils of Halloween and such, and then she gives the parents a small card with a phone number to call if we're interested in being "saved."
My husband said the only way he'll call is if it will save us from our quirky little neighbor lady. Yeesh!
i know.
i stopped answering my phone yesterday after my third recorded "Hi, I'm State Senator So-in-so, blah blah vote blah blah."
this makes me wonder why the heck i majored in poli sci of all things. sigh.
Ugh. Poor kids. Don't let them eat that hershey bar, I'm thinking.
I'll be SO relieved when it's all over, and no phone calls. Whew.
Tell me that was a joke...Thats pretty funny
Barf.
How right you are! Sometimes I forget that "glass is half full" mentality. You made me smile.
Ah, at least they tried to buy your kids vote with the BIG candy bars. We'd get a lot more people to the polls if everyone got a free candy bar after. Today at my poll they had some hard candy, it was gross, voting candy is gross. Rudolph would make a good govenor.
now piggybacking politics on free candy? That's bad.
But piggybacking free candy on politics? That'd be good. If instead of getting recorded phone calls, I'd been given free chocolate ... let's just say I think I could be bought.
Why do some people have to politicize everything?!
