Cold Cereal Is His Thing

Steak and Cheese SandwichGoing along with the cold cereal theme of last week, husband Andrew presented me with another one of his Deep Thoughts this week. While carefully chewing his Frosted Mini Wheats he offered this latest insight into his psyche:

"If I could invent a cereal, I'd make one that tasted like steak and cheese sandwiches.

"With little onion bits in the milk."

What does one say to this? Somehow I don't think the world is ready for Steak and Cheesios.

That's about as appealing as a cereal named BARF. (And I suspect just about as tasty, too!) Cece

Ooo-ick! Andrew! no.no.no.no.no.

Did you just bust a gut in laughter over this one? What a strange set of taste buds.
Though, I could totally go for a steak and cheese sandwich about now...

Still salivating over last weeks cereal post by the way.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. ;)

Man, now I want a steak and cheese sandwich on an onion roll with a side of cold milk and Arby's curly fries. Pregnant people just shouldn't read blogs about food. :-)

But I don't want it in cereal form.

EEKS. I'm not a breakfast person, but that scares me a little bit.

A question: lately when I've been coming to this site, my computer freezes up for a few minutes and I get that little hourglass thing and can't scroll down. Any clue why? And is this just happening to me?

I never thought Dill pickle chips would take off... and now it is a staple in the chip world...
Your hubby may be on to something...

Like the flavor, but not the combo with milk. Let's try it in an oatmeal-kind-of-way and we'll talk. don't listen to me, though. I had a ham, egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast followed by a reheated eggroll. :o)

I'm sure I can name a few men and one woman who would totally buy that cereal.

You wouldn't HAVE to pour milk over this cereal, right?

Because I'm thinking it would be better if you could pour beer over it.

Thank your husband for the laugh, please.
Oddly, in some strange way, for a moment it sounded good. LOL

I'm not pregnant and now I want a steak and cheese sandwich! It must be that great picture..mmm...

Maybe if the cereal was hot..and the milk was more like onion soup...

It's unfortunate that I was eating when I read that...

I'm liking the above suggestion to add beer instead of milk.

I think your husband and Jack Handy would be great pals, and Mrs. Handy could give you tips in dealing with the Deeply gifted. I bet it involves vodka.

Well, the cereal really sounds gross but it doesn't matter, because the picture makes my mouth water. I better go take my iron pill.

That might be good if you switched french onion soup with milk. I thought I like odd things. :)

Your husband sounds much like my oldest son. He is always trying to put weird combinations together and convice me how great they would taste.

I will give your husband the same word I give my son....Yuck!

Oh, man. The thought of that makes me barf more than a little.

I can't think many more revolting combos than onions and milk.

Shudder.

Food again! Oh well. You're right, it'll never catch on. For now I'm waiting for the promises of my youth to be fulfilled - you know the ones about having no real 'food' by the turn of the century, that we'd just consume little capsules instead = no grocery shopping, no cooking, no washing up.......
certainly would be jolly handy at the moment, there again, since I still can't open my mouth I'd have to make a special request for the liquid version.
Enjoy your 'roast' on Sunday - Cheers

OK, men should not invent cereal. However, that steak sandwich, I'd love to take a bite out of. Glad you got the package! cute post.

Blech! Only a man would like that. And I think my husband would be it's biggest fan (aside from yours, of course!).

Hmmm...that sounds not too bad to me! Perhaps your husband has found a new taste sensation, one that will sweep the world, and change our concept of cold cereal!
