Five Accessories Saturday Giveaway

Five Accessories, Sayan Wood, NightI've been a mother for so many years I've almost forgotten what a great handbag is like. All those years of diaper bags and Big Mama bags nearly erased what a real woman's accessory should be but after seeing the unique and exotic bags that Five Accessories sells I'm starting to realize what I've been missing.

In wicker, leather and wood, Five Accessories offers handbags that whisper of the tropics and far-off places, and the minute I saw them I could see that carrying one of these pieces would be the next best thing to a vacation in Bali. They also offer bracelets and necklaces with natural textures and materials to accent these lovely bags--perfect for summer.

Five Accessories, Wicker BagHowever, one of the nicest things about Five's bags (and I can't help but think that I'd look great carrying a Five bag while wearing some Seven jeans) is their story. Quoting from their "about" page:

While honeymooning in Bali, the founders of five met a Balinese man who told them how, many years ago, a gift of $5 a month from an American couple who visited Bali greatly impacted his life. This act of good karma helped him stay in school, improve his English and even sent his kids to college. Today, he oversees the crafting of Five products in Bali. Five, believing in the power of generosity, will donate $5 from every handbag sale and 15% of all other sales to the villages where these beautiful goods are made.

For today's Saturday Giveaway Five Accessories has kindly provided a handbag identical to the one pictured at the top right. It's called Sayan (Wood) "Night," and is 14" wide with dark rich tones and matching wooden handles. You can see the product page here.

You'll love it--and it's even big enough to hide a diaper and a package of wipes should you require it.

Here's how to win:

Before 12 am Monday go to the giveaway entry form on this page and enter your name and email. I will pick one of the names at random, contact the winner via their email and publish the winner's first name and home town in next Tuesday's post. See the bottom of the entry form for more details.

I'm sorry but this Saturday Giveaways is open to U.S. readers only however I am offering a giveaway to international readers next week. I promise it's coming.

Oh, I need this one! The clunky diaper bag I carry around is pure fashion murder. Count me in! I repeat, I need this :-)

The story behind their origin is so touching. Who knew so little could do so much!

Handbags. What are those? Grown up version of a diaper bag? :-)

Oh, and this is the comment wherein I curse you for your 80-degree temperatures...
