Power Pumpkin Carving

Cannibal Jack o' LanternThis year's jack o' lantern is a pumpkin with some bite. The boys claimed "eminent domain" and appropriated Lillian's tiny pumpkin from school for our creation. I think it turned out pretty nice, but my favorite part was how Andrew carved it, regular people use a knife but not my man. He goes for power tools. And safety goggles, can't forget the safety goggles. It wouldn't look good to have to tell the guys at the club that you lost your eye in a tragic pumpkin carving accident. Kind of makes you wonder how he'll carve the Thanksgiving turkey, doesn't it? Here's the video:

Great! My husband liked the power tool aspect. Luckily (or unluckily for him) I had already finished the carving when he got home.

I'm shocked in retrospect that my own Dad didn't try that out. Men and their gadgets, huh? But my oh my that is SOME Jack-O'Lantern. His power tools served him well!

That's one angry looking pumpkin :)

Delightful! And, really, you took away all the pumpkins guts, so he's got to fill himself up somehow, right?

That is so excellent! You should submit to the ExtremePumpkin.com contest.

We carved our pumpkin last night, and were discussing power tools that might work better than the tiny saw. I wonder if someone sells special power pumpkin carvers? I'd love to do a more ornate design.

Awesome. The kids sure seemed to like it!

I am not showing this to my husband. I don't even want to contemplate what he would do to a pumpkin with the power tools idea.

That is one classy pumpkin, though. Love the tiny one in his jaws.

Do NOT let that man near your turkey!!

Very cool! He reminds me of my husband. A lighter isn't good enough when it comes to fire works. He has to use a blow torch!
