Need a last minute Halloween treat to take to the party? Well look no further, all you need is a bag of Hershey's kisses, a box of chocolate wafers and a little icing (I bought a tube of the prepared stuff to save time) and voila! You've got yourself a treat that will make you look like a Halloween pro.
I put a spot of icing in the middle of the cookie, Lillian topped it with a kiss and I piped some frosting around the edge with a little bow. Fifteen minutes from start to finish--it's Halloween treats on the fly. Heh, get it? Witches . . . broomsticks . . . flying . . . How fun, I am sure my kids would love making these. I love how non-existent the prep time is.
And just so you know, those same chocolate wafer cookies make a to-die-for chocolate mousse! Yum!

My thing was a Ghosts in the Graveyard recipe using chocolate pudding and whipped cream. It is absolutely yummy and fun.
I will definitely be linking back to this - what an easy, fun thing to make. I have a Halloween party for my son instead of a birthday party since he is an October baby. I am always on the lookout for things like this.
All I can think of (Besides how freaking cute those are) is how much I cannot WAIT until Girl Scout Cookie Season so I can buy THIN MINT COOKIES.

This is unrelated to Halloween (kind of), but it is hillaryous.... recently, Hillary Clinton went to Iraq to visit the soldiers. As you may know, everytime any head of state or govm't official travels, the transport crew gives the vehicle a code name (you know, like the president flies "Air Force One"?).
With Hillary aboard, the crew gave their trasport vehicle the unauspicious name of "Broomstick One." It's true!

I am sooooo relieved to know this Halloween I will not be spending and hour baking, another hour and a half making icing and decorating some treat that half the kids at school thumb their nose at because "I don't like thaaaat"...the other half the kids can't eat my darling creation because they are stuffed with all the other treats and all my hard work I see piled in the garbage can! Thanks for such an adorable yet simple creation!!!! Your a life saver!

I have made a halloween treat bag...just decorate a paper sack with any kind of Halloween stuff and bake some yummy cookies and--tada--instant halloween yummyness...
I WANT TO MAKE THESE SO BADLY! Been scouring my local stores for a week and I can't locate just plain, round chocolate wafers ANYWHERE. In Chicago, no less! Irritated sigh.

If you can't find the wafers in the cookie aisle, check out the ice cream topping section.
Check the fancy cookie aisle, where they'd have things like lady's fingers and such. If not, try gingersnaps or chocolate Nilla wafers if you can find those.
YIPPY SKIPPY! I finally found some chocolate wafers and made these. My bows were not nearly as sweet looking and perfect as yours were, but I could rectify that with a smaller tip on my frosting bag next year. Thank you for making me a minor (and short-lived, I'm guessing, but hey, I'll take what I can get) legend in the neighborhood!

If you can't find the wafers, a lot of people also use the fudge striped cookies. :)
