Pretty Little Floral Headbands

Floral HeadbandsLily and I made these because, according to her, "All the girls have flowers in their hair"

I love the look and we did one with daisies and one with hydrangeas--how the world survived without hot glue guns all those millenia I'll never know.

We wrapped one of her old plastic headbands with ribbon from my stash and found some flowers that matched the scheme and glued them in place. Peacock feathers would be a fun one--or even butterflies like you find in the floral section of the craft store. Possibilities. . . .

Not only is that a great idea but she looks gorgeous wearing it.

Definitely.

I found peacock feathers in the fishing section of Canadian Tire -- I guess they're used for making flies! Jade and I put them on headbands, though, and then we pulled coloured feathers out of one of her dress-up boas and made hair clips out of them. So much fun! (And of course, she pulls of the look with much more panache than I.)

I just got my glue gun back out this week after YEARS in the craft cabinet and totally agree. Some crafting just can't be done with any other glue. :)

Pretty! My daughter just wore a flower in her hair for her 4th birthday.
