February's Write-Away Contest

February's Write-Away ContestJanuary feels like the high point of winter and now that we're in February it seems like it's all downhill to April. Woo hoo! As a token of my affections I give you the new topic for this month's Write-Away Contest: Love. Not an unusual topic but I like it. So there. It seems appropriate and likely to spark your creativity and interest.

If you'd like to participate (and I'm hoping you do!) here are the rules:

1. Write a post or find one in your archives on the topic, Love, and email your post's permalink to me at: scribbit at gmail.com any time through Wednesday February 20th. If you fail to meet the February 20th deadline I will still happily publish the link to your post and include it in the list of entries but it will not be judged. I reserve the right to reject submissions if they fail to meet the topic or if they contain objectionable content.

2. Publish a link to the contest page here at Scribbit in either your entry post or in a separate post.

3. Check back here on Friday February 22nd when I will post a complete list of the entries along with the Write-Away Winner and any honorable mentions our judge sees fit to award.

Our guest judge this month is Sabine from "Life Isn't about Finding Yourself. Life Is about Creating Yourself"--a long title for a great blog.

This month's prize is a selection of tasty Alaskan items. The first is a cute little jar of cranberry hot chocolate mix, the second a bag of wild blueberry and white chocolate dipped pretzels and the third is a jar of homemade (yes, by me) Alaskan wild blueberry jam. We picked the berries ourselves last summer as you see in this post here. Where you gonna get a deal like that?

But besides this the winner and all runners-up or honorable mentions (I leave that up to the judge to award them) will also get to take home this attractive Write-Away Winner button which he or she may display in their sidebar if they wish.

Write-Away Contest WinnerGood luck, I look forward to reading your entries.

And if you have forgotten, I'm posting at Design Mom this week--if you're not up for a Write-Away Contest you could always see what I'm writing about over there (hint: it's tasty).

Do you have a button or image for the contest as a whole, or should I just use a text link in my post?

Sorry, I'll have to sit this one out. Between birthdays and illness I'm feeling completely drained this month. Plenty of love in my heart, but nothing is managing to come out of my fingers.

I'll be back next month, hopefully with spirits properly recharged.

These have been so much fun for me. I thought about this one, thought some more, and decided I just couldn't do it. And the today, out of the blue, I thought of something that I could use for this. I emailed you my submission.
