Smoked Gouda Rolls

Smoked Gouda RollsThese are an especially good dinner roll for winter meals and they're always a hit when I make them. I usually whip them up in my bread machine, which I'd highly recommend.

¾ cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3 cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
¾ cup grated smoked Gouda
1 tablespoon yeast
1 beaten egg white
extra cheese for topping

Bring milk to room temperature with butter and Dijon. Pour into bucket of bread machine, adding the next four ingredients and set to dough cycle. Shape as desired, brushing with a mixture of beaten egg white and 1 tablespoon of water and sprinkling extra cheese on top.

Let rise 30 minutes then bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes until golden brown and irresistable.

You know, I can't remember the last time I actually used my bread machine. Your yummy recipe just may inspire me to bring it out and use it again! :)

Thanks so much for participating in my Holiday Cooking, Blogger Style recipe exchange. I really do appreciate it!

As for the pictures on my blog, they're from Ireland. They were taken by my husband while we were there getting married and honeymooning. If you'd like to see some of our wedding pictures, check out my May 17th post. :)

Those soud wonderful.
I may have to try them for our Annual Carol Singing.

These do sound good. I love gouda. I have to dust off my old bread machine and give it a try.
