Independence Day Parades

Indepedence Day Parade, AlaskaNot only does this picture remind me of a lovely family time at the 4th of July parade in downtown Anchorage it remains the evidence of my only successful attempt to French braid my daughters' hair. Hair isn't my specialty.

She's the one on the left in case you're confused and that's Spencer, age two, in the middle.

You did a great job braiding, I have a three year old, it seems their hair is so silky it won't stay in any style with out barreting and clipping it down with something. It looks great, LOL.

Cute braids. My problem with hair is the sitting still thing, yikes.

Lovely picture. Happy 4th.

What a sweet picture! And great job on the braids - I'm jealous, I'm dying to braid my daughter's hair, but she won't let me get within 10 feet of her with so much as a barrette.

Happy 4th of July!

Our small town 4th of July parade passes right in front of our house. We just put our bench and a couple of chairs on the sidewalk an hour or so before the parade and then when its over we drag them back to the back yard. Its great.

Perfect shot. Those braids look just fine, to me. I´m not a hair person either, luckily I had two boys! :D

Love the shot. Love the hair. I've never been successful doing my daughter's hair.

You did a great job braiding her hair! My WW also has to do with braids, hair and the 4th of July!
Have a great day!

Great photo!

Julia has finally gotten to the age where she will let me do her hair. I'm finding I'm not so great at hair either. I need to take a class or something. Do they have classes for that?

That's actually pretty good! I can french braid for beans.

Great picture ~ and you did a great job! Much better than I would have done :-)

I think her hair looks awesome. My daughter has super long hair. I wish I knew how to french braid it. It'd be so cute like that.

I love this picture and her braids are great! I can't wait until my daughter's hair is long enough to do that kind of thing!

I'm with everyone else... this is a wonderful picture. I laughed at the "hair isn't my specialty" part. It's not mine either. I mean, I can CUT hair... but I don't do frilly girly hairdos on my kids. Who has the time?!
