Finger puppets are always a cure for the summer boredom and these are a fun and novel twist to a traditional craft. Cut the fingers from a rubber glove (I used pinking shears on these to make the zig zag edge) and decorate each with googly eyes, pipe cleaners, feathers, pom poms, sequins, netting, paper, felt and anything else a dashing bug deserves. (We ran out of enough googly eyes so we were forced to make a few cyclopes).
The stiff rubber easily fits on little fingers and the colorful surface makes decorating fun.

Those are too cute!
Cute cute cute!
I didn't even realize they were rubber until I read the post. Very creative and easy to do!
How do you come up with such fantastic ideas??
Oh. My. GOODNESS! Dacey is going to LOVE this!
Seeing as I somehow have a ton of googly-eyes, I see a great project!
That is a great idea and very inexpensive craft idea. Thank for sharing that!
Fabulous. Looks like I've got my craft for Thursday all set again (once I run out for some more googly eyes). Thanks to you yet again!
That is too cool! You're so creative. :)
Your kids are very lucky.
I made something like this out of an old winter glove, using fabric paint to decorate, when I worked in day care. My little kiddos loved them. The rubber gloves sound great -- they're probably indestructible!
Ooo the cyclops gets my vote! Sounds like you need a trip to the hobby shop. [translation = craft store]
Cheers
Lovely! I gotta get my kids to do that...
Those are so adorable!
And this is why I read your blog. What a great summer boredome buster!
Hi! This is a great idea for kids! I´ve doing some finger puppets, you can see some pics in my blog, and I really love creating toy crafts.
Thanks for the idea
