I know this may sound really weird but does anyone have acorns? You know . . . acorns?
We don't have oak trees up here so my supply is what you'd call limited. Weird as it may sound I thought that maybe one of you out there would be willing to send me some--of course I'd compensate you for your troubles but if ever the blogging world had a purpose, this could be it.
Maybe I can make a whole celebration out of it--I'll call it "National If-You-Give-a-Blogger-an-Acorn Day" or something. This could be big. BIG people.
As for other important events (besides the fact that we do have actual walls now, walls which I will be painting this weekend with much gusto) . . . I'd like to say thank you to Riley Devoe of All Rileyed Up who was so kind as to send me a coveted ROFL Award (at least I coveted it) for my post "Go Ahead, Arrest Me--I DARE You!".
To see the complete list of recipients go to Oh, The Joys!, it'll get your day started with a laugh.
And if you'd like to see something amazing check out The Most Amazing Card Trick in the World posted by Susan and Janice at 5 Minutes for Mom. Amazing would definitely be the word.

wow. I can't go a day without pulling acorns from the bottom of my washer or digging them out of pockets. However. I am not sure that i can mail them internationally. Surely, there must be customs limitations on what can and can not be mailed from Asia to North America. If no one else offers, then I will send you a box full and label them....
socks.
We have acorns! Many sentimental fall moments include the sound of falling acorns and acorns crunching underfoot as I walked my kids to and from the bus stop.
Let me know if you want me to send some. Email address is on my profile. It would be a great motivation to mail the 6 or seven packages that I have needed to mail for about 3 months. Procrastination is a terrible thing.
Oh MAN. Back in Florida my yard was littered with oak trees and stupid acorns. And me always barefoot. As bad as stepping on LEGOs. Ow. Hope someone sends you some. You know I would if I had them.
I have some oh so very teeny tiny acorns just awaiting for a purpose like this...send me your addres if you want them. But they are small (and very cute).

I have so many acorns... they are a real nuisance here - dinging cars as the trees throw them at us, growing miniature oak forests in my front yard in the spring... ;)
I would love to send you a huge boxful. We are actually getting some beautiful colors in the acorns this year - brown, green, and black. and they're bigger than normal, too. I don't know if my email address is on my wordpress profile - I don't think it is.. it's leighforpres @ hotmail dot com.
That's so funny! I asked my mom the exact same thing last year because we don't have oak trees but she has a *huge* one in the front yard. She sent me a big bag of them, I have it squirreled away somewhere...
Looks like you've discovered a secret underground railroad of acorns, the acorn connection!
I spoke too soon! We are past acorn prime. I only found a few. Looks like you have some better prospects! I'm emailing you right now just in case you don't see this.
Oh wonderful! I'll take them all--and if there's a huge crop of oak trees in Anchorage you'll know who to blame!
We have oak trees aplenty, but we also have lots of squirrels who have: removed all our acorns; eaten all my grapes this year; eaten all of my neighbor's huge crop of pears; nibbled most of the leaves off my over-winter clover mulch; and enjoyed a daily fresh salad from my fall vegetable bed leaving it looking a lot less green and juicy!
No doubt in the spring we'll have a nice crop of little oak trees because the squirrels do a wonderful job of planting the acorns just right!
Ha ha... I live in OAKVILLE... Acorns galore. Different regions have different shapes... do you want some from Southern Ontario? How many do you need? sixthandelm@gmail.com.
I'll send you some in return for the coupon code for inkubook's free book offer!!
Tellie
ha ha - I have TWO HUGE oak trees in my yard - you can't walk in my yard without slipping on all the acorns - imagine my festival for the squirrels!!
We have one oak tree in the front yard that has just started to produce acorns (it's a young tree). My son made a pile of the acorns to tempt the squirrels (his favorite animal) and there are still a handful of acorns left. They don't have caps however. The caps are still on the tree branches, hanging on for dear life. If you would still like some, email me at uglyoldbat at hotmail dot com.
I love your blog, i really do, its a great blog, and i just support so many moms who blog for the fellow mothers in the world.
Okay, so please share why you need the acorns???
We have plenty of acorns, but shipping from overseas would probably be a problem. Still, if you desperately covet German acorns (whatever do you need them for?), I would be happy to send you some.
I don't have any acorns here in Arizona...but I could send you a plethora of desert offerings. :)
Nice idea to be specific about what type of nuts. It will help when you are googled, otherwise you might have people contact you about Chest Nuts.
we have so many acorns up here and they are golf ball size. I didnt know they came that friggin big. Just the other day the moms at nursery school were falling all over each other on the way to the playground. I can send you some if you want. Good for some entertainment!
Have acorns, will mail. SurelyYouNest at gmail dot com.
It tells me the card trick video isn't there. Darn I wanted to see it. We have lots of acorns too. I also want to know what you want them for. Congrats on the ROFL.
Heather--give it a try again, I went and checked and it seemed to be working now.
Sorry!
So is it a big secret as to what you plan on doing with said acorns? Oh- and I live surrounded bills with oaks so if you need more, let me know!
We had so many acorns last year, it was truly strange. Looks like several people have offered already, but if you want some from California, let me know. :)
Really, you should definetely check out this site: http:/www.newspaperbagproject.com. I don't know why I didn't think of you sooner.
Good luck with the acorns. We have lots and lots of cottonwoods. They don't really produce cotton though.
We have an entire acre full of scrub oak...and acorns. Ho many do you need? And do you prefer them with their cute little caps on?
did you get acorns? I have them if you did not:)
no acorns where I live.. actually I am a bit jealous of all this acorn love on everyones blogs.... I think your holiday would be a hit.. as I live in australia I have never seen an acorn...
can someone send me some too??
I have acorns. Also black walnuts and buckeyes. I'll send you anything you like.
No, but we have 'conkers', also known as horse chestnuts. My boys love to collect them, like all the other kids we know.
Also have acorns, my kids and I have been fishing them out of the grass like crazy... there's a small grove of oak trees that hangs over our back fence and into our yard... the squirrels are fun to watch. :)
