We've been in the midst of a spring snow storm all week here and I spent the day yesterday nice and cozy with the kids, enjoying being warm and happy while the snow whirled outside our windows.
Which is probably why I think I can get away with posting another knitting project. Temperatures here are perfect for scarves and this pattern is particularly feminine.
I got the pattern from Purl Bee and if you'd like to see it in slate blue they have a lovely picture posted there along with the directions.
And for all you non-knitters out there here are a few other links:
If you've got some sun try this brilliant sun dying technique for making fun t-shirts or fabric patterns.
Thinking Easter? These little egg cozies are sweet and warm.
Love this hand soap dispenser from a mason jar.
Tipnut has a whole gaggle of Easter and spring crafts and activities.
Need a special spring treat? These speckled chocolate quail eggs are to dye for.
And there's always this recipe for sugar Easter eggs that I did a couple years ago. It still gets very popular around this time each spring.
Any writers out there want a cruise? There's a fabulous Mother's Day contest going on at Mikarose where you can enter to win a Caribbean cruise by writing an essay about mother in your life. Top four winners get $100 gift certificates and the winner gets a cruise package. But even if you don't win the cruise package I'd suggest going to their site anyway, I love their dresses (my daughter has one).
